Gift Card Production
It takes time for you to design, print and deliver your Gift Cards (and carriers when using the M6c design) to our Merchandising Staff. Only then can they put your cards on display in the retailers.
We need to approve your Gift Card design and we recommend you provide at least 3 weeks to allow for any design changes.
Alongside the design, you will need to decide the currency and the number of Gift Card values you want to use.
We also need to agree how to integrate your Gift Cards within the display units. The result will be an approved Planogram - a diagram locating each Gift Card brand within a multibrand display. Our Merchandisers use the Planogram when placing your Gift Cards in retailers displays.
A Gift Card production schedule typically takes 12 weeks. Developing software to allow you to use a special card processor or to connect to your own website for card activation and redemption will add to this time.
Testing
This phase covers the complete transaction and includes:
- Testing any new interconnection method
- Retailer testing of "White Plastic" versions of each new Gift Card
- Entering Gift Card details into the retailers' POS systems (including EANs)
- Our approval of the Gift Cards' physical details alongside that of the client partner and the retailers
- Producing and approving "finished plastic" versions
Production
We pass the approved Gift Card designs to the card manufacturer for production using the individual data provided.
We need to have the full magnetic stripe data for all the cards before finishing.
Delivery
We ship the Gift Cards direct to each retailer or to our Merchandising Staff.
Merchandising
Our Merchandising Staff place the Gift Cards on the retailers' displays, changing the layout to match the latest Planogram. We may match the timing of this placement with the launch of an agreed promotion. Allow 2 weeks for placement of Gift cards across all retailers.
